Friday started off by meeting my sister and her friend Jenny at Urban Union on Taylor street for dinner. The place was adorable! I would certainly go back there for drinks! The dinner was OK, but I think that's mostly because I wasn't the biggest fan of a few of the items we ordered. That being said, our waiter was adorable the vibe was great.
We then left dinner and went over to the UIC Pavilion to see Passion Pit! It was a great show and I heard a lot of songs of theirs (and the opening band Matt and Kim) that I liked a lot. Also, I'd never been to that venue which was cool and everything sounded great!
Saturday Megan and I got up and drove out to the suburbs to begin bridesmaid dress shopping! It was actually a super productive trip and helped us narrow down some styles and try on some dresses I never would have thought of! Over the next two weeks we have about 10 more appointments so hopefully that will be wrapping up soon! Saturday night Neil and I just hung out, made dinner and home and watched movies.
Sunday was an interesting day! We lounged around in the morning and then took Clark to the dog park. We ended up hanging out there for close to two hours chatting and watching the dogs play (small world: we ended up talking to a couple that went to Dayton and graduated the same year as me)! When we were about to leave someone noticed that one of the dogs were bleeding and we saw that it was Clark, he had a nip on the tip of his ear. It definitely didn't look like a bad cut, but the blood made it look like he was in a street fight! He has blood all over his face and head, but was walking around like it was normal! I was freaking out, but thankfully Neil was calm about it. We got him home and Neil gave him a bath. Wow. When I went into the bathroom it looked like someone was stabbed to death in the tub! Blood was all over the place, on the walls, mirrors, towels, EVERYWHERE!! It was like a scene from the Soprano's and I had to clean the place with bleach! Though Clarkie didn't look like he was in pain, the cut would not stop bleeding!
Finally after awhile, Neil was able to get a band aid on Clark's ear so that would hopefully stop the bleeding. Poor little Clark slept so much and so hard for the rest of the day!
Oh, the adventures of having a dog!!
Clark with his band aid. He looks like a little lamb.. or as Neil says, Nelly.
